Slingshot uses a customized TeamViewer setup for remote support of computers.  If someone else needs remote access to your computer via TeamViewer, here is how you can set them up:



  1. From the Start menu, open Team Viewer.  The Take Control window will open.

  2. Click the x in the top-right corner of the “Enhanced multi user support is activated” message:




  3. Then click the gear icon that the mouse pointer is pointing to in this picture:



  4. Select Security from the left menu, then click on Manage additional passwords:

  5. In the window that appears, click the Add button:


  6. Enter some username for the identifier (e.g. "AcmeSupport"). Then assign a password (at least 6 characters long). 

  7. Provide them with the "Your ID" number and the password you assigned in the previous step.



  8. That's all they should need to control your computer via TeamViewer.  They will be able to see and control your computer at any time until you disable that password.
